Biography
Fereshteh Ahmadi was a 32-year-old photographer and mother of two young children, Bavan and Miran, from Mahabad. She was killed by direct gunfire from Iranian security forces during protests in Mahabad on October 27, 2022. Despite government attempts to deny her killing, her family affirmed she was shot by state agents. Images of her young daughter crying at her grave gained global attention.
